Walking and cycle tours
Burgundy's range of leisure activities is as varied as its landscape. It has everything that walkers and cyclists could desire. Gentle hill ranges are great for walking and hiking in, while cyclists have around 800 kilometres of cycle paths at their disposal. I am happy to help you when hiring bikes.

On the water and in the air
With around 1200 kilometres of navigable waterways, Burgundy is a paradise for amateur captains. Saint-Jean-de-Losne has 300 mooring spaces, making it France's largest river marina and thus the focal point for those travelling by boat. Purpose-built mooring spaces along the canal are perfect for going onto dry land and visiting the most interesting attractions and restaurants. Around 500 boats of various sizes, moored at around 30 different marinas, are available for hire.

Air-Escargot - the snails of the air. Ascend into the skies, either early in the morning or in the late afternoon. You can hover silently above picturesque Burgundy, and round off your day in fine style by being ennobled: ever since the 18th century and the time of the Mongolfier brothers, brave knights of the sky have been ennobled and granted a fief encompassing the lands they have flown over - although this includes only the "air space", not the terra firma beneath it.

Do you want to play golf in Burgundy? You can reach each of the 18-hole golf courses at Beaune, Chalon sur Saone and Montchanin in less than 30 minutes by car. As a guest at La Vierge Romaine, you will receive a 10% discount on the green fees.

There is an old German saying: the greatest happiness on earth can be found on the back of a horse. And you can of course also enjoy horse riding within the vicinity of La Vierge Romaine. At the Centre hippique de Santenay, horse lovers of all ages and abilities will find everything they need, from beginner courses through to outings on horseback for advanced riders.
